32,000 kids get free iBooks
Maine has signed a deal with Apple worth over $41 million.
Apple, in return, will deliver 32,000 iBooks to Maine students as well as another 4,000 to their teachers. The contract works out to be just about $1,100 per notebook, not counting in various changes in infrastructure. Now this is a win-win situation.
